What is a LifeCircle?

A LifeCircle is a weekly gathering of anywhere from 6 to 20 people meeting in a casual environment where we can dive into dialogue together about God's Word and how it applies to real life.  LifeCircles are where the basic functions of the church are carried out.  Each LifeCircle is bathed in prayer.  These LifeCircles provide the places where people can connect to encourage and equip each other along life’s journey.  LifeCircles are not a "program" of the church -- LifeCircles ARE the church.  Regularly (usually on Sunday evenings), the LifeCircles gather together for worship.  LifeCircles can exist with out the weekly celebrations, but the weekly celebrations cannot exist without the LifeCircles.  When we use the word, "church," we are thinking of the LifeCircles, not the weekly celebrations.

The word "life" outlines what these meetings are all about.  This is the place where issues of life are discussed from a Biblical point of view.  It is at these small group meetings that one discovers the real life of the church.

The word, "circle," describes the type of interaction we hope to acheive in these meetings.  On a circle all the points are an equal distance from the center.  Jesus Christ is the Center of each LifeCircle.  In a LifeCircle meeting, every individual's contribution and opinion is of equal value.  Unlike traditional church meetings where people sit in pews as spectators watching a performance at the front, in a LifeCircle each person is part of the performance interacting eye-to-eye and heart-to-heart with others in the circle.
